One of the oldest institutes around,
Called Marriage,
Where can the answer to a happy marriage be found??
Sometimes you feel like a baby in a carriage.

I’m sure all marriages have their ups and downs,
Sometimes getting back up could be a challenge,
Because after fighting you feel like such a clown,
Somehow though you just have to manage.

The society that we live in promotes so much stress,
We need the food, clothing and paying the rent,
When the average income is usually less,
Then the paycheck arrives and it’s already spent.


I guess the answer is the wife needs love,
While the husband needs respect,
That is what He says who lives Above,
Instead of going after each other like an insect.

It does take a lot of work for a marriage to grow,
And to watch it blossom is great to see,
When the love between a man and a woman just flow,
The marriage itself just grows and grows like a big sequoia tree.
